Kenneth Leroy Roberts? born December 31, 1951 in Modesto California is a former racer GP500cc America and become the World Championship, winning three times in a row in the 500cc class in 1978 to 1980.
Appearing first in Holland Series in 1974 with Yamaha in GP250cc that put Kenny in third position. With Yamaha In 1978 Kenny made its debut on GP500cc and GP250cc the same time.
Kenny managed to become World Champion for the class of 1978 with 4x GP500cc wins from eight podium of the 10 series that was held for the class GP250cc while Kenny just being ranked fourth championship, 1979 world champion Kenny's back to being a second time in the classroom GP500cc with 5x wins out of 10 series at that time, he gained fame for a spectacular duel with Barry Sheene and Freddie Spencer. In 1980 Kenny is able to retain his world champion for the third time in succession.
Roberts is considered as one of the first driver to use his knees to balance the bike on the track, and the first to use engine power to rotate out the rear tire bent to help steer the bike (a technique known as "throttle steering", common among U.S. flat track racer) . These techniques are used in top level motorcycle road racing, although they are far less redundant with improved tire technology.
At the end of their work in 1983 Kenny is almost back to being armed with a World Champion with six wins from 12 series and berselisihkan 2 points with compatriot Freddie Spancer, Kenny could only be a runner up in the final standings.
